Nikki DiOrio is the Director of the Career Development & Internship Center. In her role, she leads the strategic direction of the office and the employer relations program, attracting new opportunities for Assumption College. Nikki has 15+ years of experience in recruiting, training & development, management and business analytics.

Prior to joining Assumption College in 2011, Nikki worked at Liberty Mutual, where she was an associate program manager for human resources development and specialized in management training and professional development. Nikki also was a member of the organization’s corporate university relations team, where she developed reporting to support college recruiting strategy, built relationships with colleges and universities throughout the US and recruited students for internships and careers throughout the company.

Nikki is currently pursuing a MEd in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University and holds a B.S. in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University.

Shannon Curtis is the Assistant Director of the Career Development & Internship Center at Assumption College. She is a dedicated career advisor for all full time undergraduate day students, coordinates career development programming on campus and acts as a resource for faculty members interested in integrating career development programming into their courses.

Prior to joining Assumption College, Shannon worked at Boston University School of Management where she was a Senior Recruiter/Employer Relations Manager in the Feld Career Center working with companies to build successful on campus recruiting strategies and provided career advising for undergraduate and MBA students. Shannon has also worked in Human Resources at The Hanover Insurance Group and coordinated all internship and early in career and hiring. Shannon’s background also includes roles as a Professional Development Seminar Instructor and Enrollment Services Coordinator at Nichols College.

Shannon has an MBA and a B.S. in Business Administration from Nichols College.

Amanda Adams is a Career Advisor in the CDIC and is a Resident Director in Residential Life. At the CDIC, she hosts drop-in advising clinics and reviews student resumes and other forms of professional communication. Amanda also contributes to developing and improving career resources for students and manages the CDICEdge website.

Amanda has been with the CDIC since August 2014, but has been working at Assumption College for almost three years. In her role as a full-time Resident Director within the Office of Residential Life, she supervises a staff of ten, performs active rounds of the campus, plans hall-based and campus-wide programs for students, and oversees housing operations in Alumni and Desaultes Halls. Prior to her time at Assumption, Amanda was the Manager of a youth recreational facility in Exeter, NH and a Teacher’s Assistant at the University of New Hampshire.

Amanda will receive a Master of Arts in School Counseling from Assumption College in May of 2016 and holds a B.A. in Communication from the University of New Hampshire.

Patrick Tyler is the Graduate Intern in the Career Development & Internship Center. Pat supports the CDIC’s employer outreach, assists employers in connecting with talented students from the college through campus events and job/internship postings and supports the office’s overall marketing strategy.

Pat has completed internships at Sherwin Williams & Co. and The Hanover Insurance Group. In addition, he supported the CDIC as a marketing assistant during his undergraduate study. He is also a member of the Assumption College Football Team. Pat is from Cape Elizabeth, ME.

Pat is enrolled in the Early Career Track MBA program at Assumption College and has a B.A. in International Business with a minor in management from Assumption College.

Samantha Sacco is a Psychology Major and a member of the Assumption College Class of 2018.  Sam is from Hudson, MA.

Jessica Warren is a Human Services & Rehabilitation Studies Major and a member of the Assumption College Class of 2018. Jess is from Standish, ME.

Andrea is a Human Services & Rehabilitation Studies Major and is enrolled in the 6 in 5 M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling program. Andrea will receive her undergraduate degree in May 2016 and master’s degree in May 2017. Andrea is from Chicopee, MA.

Rebecca Oliviera is a Graphic Design Major with a minor in Marketing and is a member of the Assumption College Class of 2016. Rebecca is from Lakeville, MA.
